Kanban board

Plan work as cards and hand each card to an agent.

The Kanban view is a task board for your project. Each card is a task with a priority, labels and comments. Columns follow the task’s status: backlog, open, in progress, test, review, and done.

The board is built on Beads, a small task tracker that lives in your repository, so your agents can read and update it too. If Beads isn’t installed yet, the board offers Install or Update Beads.

Hand a card to an agent

Click Start work on a card. Ghostex starts an agent on that task and links the session to the card, so you can see who is working on what.

With the Ghostex Project Board Beads skill installed (Settings > Integrations), agents move their own cards as they go: they claim a card, comment on their progress, move it to test or review, and close it when done.

You can also hand a card to an agent you’re already talking to: “$ghostex-manage-beads work bead 123”. It links its own session to the card first, so the board shows who has it, even though you didn’t start it from the card. If the project has no board yet, it asks before setting one up.

A window of its own

Open in New Window (at the top right of the view, or on the tab’s right-click menu) moves the board to its own window, for a second monitor. Closing that window brings the board back.

Let an agent run the board

Ask an agent something like “work the high-priority cards on the board”. It picks cards and starts a helper agent for each one.
