Charts, questions and pages

Let agents show charts and tables in the chat, ask you questions as a form, and open mockups as pages.

The Ghostex Visuals skill lets an agent answer with more than text:

  • Charts, stat tiles and tables, drawn right in the chat.
  • Question forms: every question at once, answered with a few clicks.
  • Pages: HTML mockups and small tools that open from a card in the chat.

They work in the chat on your computer, in Ghostex in a browser, and on the phone.

Turn it on

Install the skill

Open Settings > Integrations and install Ghostex Visuals under Bundled Agent Skills.

Ask for it by name

Type $ in the message box and pick ghostex-visuals, then say what you want. For example: “$ghostex-visuals chart how long the build takes on each platform.” Agents only use it when you call it.

Charts and tables

The agent puts a small chart description in its reply, and the chat draws it in place. It can show:

  • Bar, line, area, point and pie or donut charts, including grouped and stacked bars and several series.
  • Stat tiles, like “Passed 412” in green and “Failed 3” in red.
  • Tables and short text blocks, stacked or side by side.

Charts fit the width of the chat and follow your light or dark theme. Before replying, the agent can draw the block to a picture with ghostex visual check and fix anything that reads badly.

Question forms

When an agent needs decisions from you, it asks them as a form under its message instead of a wall of text:

  • Every question is on screen at once. Click a choice to pick it, and click it again to clear it.
  • The choice it recommends has a Recommended badge.
  • Each question ends with Other / none of these and a note box, and a form with several questions ends with a box for anything else.
  • Click Send answers when you’re done. A question you leave blank is sent as skipped, and Skip all skips the whole form.

Your answers arrive as your next message and the form then reads Answered. Agents tag their questions (Q1, Q2, …), and a tag in a message links to the question it names. Turn on Previous question button (Settings > General, under Chat) for a ? button above the message box that steps through the questions still waiting for you.

Pages

For things a chart can’t show, like a UI mockup or a small interactive tool, the agent writes an HTML page and publishes it with ghostex show. The chat shows a card for it.

  • Click the card to open the page in a floating window over the chat. A second click outside, Escape, or its close button closes it.
  • It reopens where you left it scrolled, and a Refresh button appears when the agent changes the page.
  • Click a picture on the page to open it in the image viewer, with arrows to step through the page’s pictures.
  • Pages use Ghostex’s theme colors, so they match the app in light and dark.

Long reports can open in your browser instead of the floating window.

Question pages

When a question needs a picture, the agent puts the mockups and the questions on one page, each question right under what it asks about. Variants can have a Pick button by their title and a note box under them. Your picks and notes are kept if you close the page and come back. Once you send, the page locks and shows your answers.

For scripts and agents

Command What it does
ghostex show <file.html> --title "<title>" Publish a page and print the block that shows it as a chat card.
ghostex show <file.html> --browser Same, but the card opens the page in the browser.
ghostex visual check <file.json> Draw a chart block (or check a question form) before sending it.
ghostex visual check <file.json> --width 360 --light Check it at phone width, in the light theme.
ghostex visual install-skill Install the skill from a terminal.

Orchestrators always ask their questions this way, and bring their threads’ questions and pages to you.
