A **skill** is a short guide an agent reads to learn a task. Ghostex ships skills that teach agents to use Ghostex itself: start other agents, answer questions about the app, show charts, drive a browser, and more. They work with Claude Code, Codex and the other agents that support skills.

## Install skills

Open **Settings > Integrations** and install the ones you want under **Bundled Agent Skills**. Each one can be updated or uninstalled on its own, or all together with **Uninstall All**. Ghostex copies them to `~/.agents/skills`. First-launch setup installs **Ghostex CLI** for you.

## Call a skill

Ghostex's skills don't load on their own: an agent uses one only when you ask for it. Type **$** in the message box and pick the skill, then write your request:

> $ghostex-agents have Codex write tests for the login page, then review them.

Ghostex shows it the way each agent expects it (`/ghostex-agents` in Claude Code, `$ghostex-agents` in Codex). **Skills** in the message box's More actions menu lists the Ghostex skills that agent has installed, and puts the one you pick in the message box.

## The skills

| Skill (in Settings) | What it lets an agent do | More |
| -------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Ghostex CLI** | Use the `ghostex` command for anything: sessions, automations, the board, settings. | [The ghostex command](/anywhere/cli) |
| **Ghostex Help** | Answer questions about Ghostex and change settings for you. | [Ask Ghostex](/ask-ghostex) |
| **Ghostex Agents** | Start other agents, send them tasks, read their replies, and check their work. | [Agents working together](/workflows/multi-agent) |
| **Ghostex Visuals** | Show charts and tables in the chat, ask questions as a form, and open mockup pages. | [Charts, questions and pages](/skills/visuals) |
| **Ghostex Embedded Browser Use** | Use pages in Ghostex's Browser view. | [Browsers and desktop apps](/skills/browsers-and-apps) |
| **Ghostex Browser Use** | Use pages in Chrome, Chromium or Edge. | [Browsers and desktop apps](/skills/browsers-and-apps) |
| **Ghostex Computer Use** | Click, type and read the screen in native apps. | [Browsers and desktop apps](/skills/browsers-and-apps) |
| **Ghostex SpaceO** | Use Mac apps on a hidden screen, out of your way. | [Browsers and desktop apps](/skills/browsers-and-apps) |
| **Ghostex Project Board Beads** | Work a card on the Kanban board and keep it up to date. | [Kanban board](/views/kanban) |

[Orchestrators](/workflows/orchestrators) have a skill of their own, **ghostex-orchestrator**. Ghostex installs it for you when you start one.

## Two smaller skills

These two aren't listed in Settings. Install them from a terminal if you want them.

**Ghostex Auto Rename Session** (`ghostex generate-title install-skill`): ask "$ghostex-auto-rename-session" and the agent names the session after the work it did, in under 60 characters, and renames it for you.

**Ghostex Move Codex Session** (`ghostex move-codex-session install-skill`): Codex can't change the folder of a running session. Ask "$ghostex-move-codex-session" and it walks you through continuing the conversation in another folder as a new session:

1. **Get the session id**

    Type `/status` in the Codex session and copy its session id.

2. **Fork it into the other folder**

    In a terminal, run `codex fork --yolo -C ~/dev/other-project <SESSION_ID>`. Leave out `--yolo` if you don't want Codex to skip approvals and its sandbox.

## Install from a terminal

Every skill has an install command, which is handy on a remote computer:

```bash
ghostex cli install-skill
ghostex guide install-skill
ghostex agents-orchestration install-skill
ghostex visual install-skill
ghostex browser install-skill        # Embedded Browser Use
ghostex browser-use install-skill
ghostex computer-use install-skill
ghostex spaceo install-skill
ghostex board install-skill          # Project Board Beads
```

:::tip[Ask Ghostex]
Try "Which Ghostex skills do I have installed, and what does each one do?"
