Open Settings with **Cmd+,** (Ctrl+, on Windows and Linux) or the gear at the bottom of the sidebar. The search box at the top finds a setting on any page, even one that's hidden.

## Where things are

| Page             | What's there                                                                                           |

| **Projects**     | Per-project settings: docs folders, worktree command, Beads folder, orchestrator playbook.             |
| **Remote**       | Your phone and other computers. See [Your phone](/anywhere/phone).                                     |
| **Voice agent**  | The voice agent's provider, key and voice, and your Dictate recordings. See [Voice](/workflows/voice). |
| **Hotkeys**      | Every keyboard shortcut. See [Keyboard shortcuts](/customize/hotkeys).                                 |

Some rows and pages are hidden until you turn on **Show Advanced** (its switch is in the Settings sidebar). A search still finds them.

### The Extensions group

At the bottom of the Settings sidebar, the **Extensions** group holds the add-on pages. Each one shows only while its feature is on:

- **Store**: every view, header button and feature, with a switch each. See below.
- **Workspaces**: see [Workspaces and Work mode](/views/work).
- **Cloud Boxes**: see [Cloud sessions and boxes](/anywhere/cloud).
- **Connectors**: see [Connectors](/customize/connectors).
- **Actions**: saved commands and links for the **Start** button.
- **Open In**: which apps appear in the **Open** menus, your own open commands, and the default editor `ghostex edit` uses.
- **OS Integration**: make Ghostex your default editor, the handler for `ghostex://` terminal links, and your script runner.
- **Debugging**: debug controls and diagnostic logs for bug reports.

Workspaces, Cloud Boxes, Open In, OS Integration and Debugging only show in the sidebar while **Show Advanced** is on.

## The Store

**Settings > Extensions > Store** shows everything you can add to Ghostex as cards, with a filter bar to find one:

- **Built-in** views and buttons: Linear, Jira, Sentry, Figma, Vercel, Supabase, GitHub Actions, PostHog, Custom Website, Storybook, Code, Browser, Kanban, Automate, Files, Terminal, Tips & Tricks, the Notifications bell and more.
- **Features**: whole parts of Ghostex you can switch off to keep things simple. **Actions**, **Spaces**, **Cloud Boxes**, **Workspaces** and **Read aloud** start off; **Open In** starts on. Turning one off removes it everywhere, and turning it back on brings back everything you set up.
- The **Extensions Store**: audited extensions you can install.
- **Your views**: views you made yourself, like a website or a dev server command.

Hover a card for its actions. Its pencil chooses where it shows: everywhere, or only in some projects and Spaces.

The **Chromium runtime** card installs the web engine the Browser, the Code view and website views use. It's a one-time download that Ghostex offers the first time you open one of them.

## Integrations > Tools

When something needs Node.js, uv, Homebrew, Beads, or the GitHub or GitLab CLI, **Settings > Integrations > Tools** installs it in one click. If you already have a tool, Ghostex uses yours. Tools Ghostex installed get **Update**, **Reinstall** and **Uninstall** buttons.

## Keep Awake

Keep Awake stops your computer from going to sleep while agents work. It's experimental: turn on **Enable Experimental Features** (Settings > General > Advanced), then open **More Options > Keep Awake** in the sidebar and pick **Until turned off**, **2 hours** or **5 hours**. **Don't Keep Awake** stops it.

**Power Settings** in the same menu has more, with Show Advanced on: keep awake while sessions are working, start on launch or with an external display, stop below a battery level or in Low Power Mode, and let the display sleep.

## Experimental

**Enable Experimental Features** (Settings > General > Advanced) shows features that are still being finished: Keep Awake, [Connectors](/customize/connectors), OS Integration, Read aloud and the Browser's color scheme. **Faster rendering**, in the same place, redraws only the parts of the window that changed, so Ghostex uses less CPU while agents stream. Turn it off if part of a window stops updating.

## Let Ghostex change it for you

You don't have to find the right setting yourself. Open **⋯ > Ask Ghostex** and describe what you want, like "turn off the completion sound" or "make the sidebar interface bigger". It makes the change and tells you what it changed.
